Sunday broke the deafening silence of Saturday. Not just that Saturday, but all of my silent Saturdays of the soul. Yours, too.
Sunday’s light shined into the darkness. Not just the darkness of the tomb, but all of my darkness since. Yours, too.
Sunday morning changed mourning into joy. Not just for Jesus’ first followers, but our mourning, too. Mine and yours.
Yes. Sunday changed everything!
Sunday was the fulfillment of a long promised Hope.
The Hope that was promised in the darkkest hour of Eden, eventually found His place in a manger.
That same Hope surrendered all of Himself in yet another garden and walked to His hill of purpose, carrying His cross.
He Suffered. And bled. And died.
For you and for me.
That same Hope walked out of His temporary tomb and is alive!
Hope is alive! Our truest Hope. Our only Hope.
A living Hope for today, and all of our tomorrows.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth(O) into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,” 1 Peter 1: 3-4
